When my husband and I decided to take this leap and open our own clinic, the name Limitless creates an impact for several reasons. First, progress/potential with children is unlimited. Children are extremely resilient, with less awareness of limitations expected or associated with their disorder. As a result, they often surpass expectations and make strides that others did not think were possible. We, at Limitless Pediatric Therapy, appreciate this potential and aim to celebrate each child’s limitless future. Secondly, at Limitless Pediatric Therapy, we aim to provide a variety of therapies and hope to expand on specialties as our business and clients’ needs grow. The wide-ranging experience of our professionals allows for a multitude of treatment techniques and interventions to be implemented. Here, the opportunities and innovations are limitless! Lastly, being a part of the journey with children and their families is an utter blessing and joy that cannot be described. Our mission is to help all children who enter through our doors excel to access their limitless potential while teaching their families strategies and supports to improve everyone’s quality of life.
The occupational therapists on staff are fully committed to serving the pediatric population. As occupational therapists, it is our role as licensed professionals to help provide meaningful techniques or strategies to better assist those we serve in reaching their own levels of independence.
By utilizing modern, evidence-based assessments we are able to assess your child’s current developmental skill level to determine your child’s needs and the appropriate interventions to help them thrive.
Occupational therapy focuses on the skills needed to perform any activity that is meaningful. For children, their primary occupational is play. Interaction and exploration of their environment is crucial to development. Many children with sensory processing difficulties avoid certain situations or forms or play, while others may not stay focused on challenging activities and move on to something else. As a result, a child may miss certain developmental milestones that impact his performance in higher skills later in life. As a child ages, occupations include activities of daily living (ADL’s) life self-help skills, community living skills, domestic skills, leisure and social skills, and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL’s) like writing, sequencing, planning, etc. As licensed occupational therapists our individualized treatments include but are not limited to:
It is amazing to see how gross motor skills impact fine motor development. Difficulties a child may experience impact their self-esteem and intrinsic motivation, which is why at Limitless we look at the whole child. We value the relationship between parents/caregivers and their children and believe they are a critical part of a child’s success. As a result, therapy interventions also include caregiver training to improve the quality of life for both the child and family in all environments.
